Across practice and qualifying, the 19-year-old German showed calm execution. He reached Q3 and secured a midfield grid position, demonstrating consistency in a car he had limited race experience with. On race day, Vettel managed tyre wear and fuel loads efficiently, maintaining rhythm and avoiding incidents on a track that punished small mistakes.
He finished in the points on his first attempt, signalling the arrival of a highly disciplined and analytical driver. The debut laid the groundwork for a career that would soon see Vettel become one of the defining figures of his generation.
